This photographic series was another possibility to encourage the dialogue with photographer Arina Essipowitsch, who worked with me in the area of Luckau. The object himmel/hölle>i> and the artist book Bergen from 2018 is the essence of this two month spent together in a landscape, that was shaped from former lignite mining and its destructive legacy to the nature and population of the region.
